2012 – 1000 nautical miles

5 March Julian and his dad motored the short distance across the river from Queen Anne’s Battery to Plymouth Yacht Haven.

15 April Our first family trip. Two hours out under motor to Cawsand Bay.

5 May Departed Plymouth Yacht Haven, motored east to Salcombe, moored overnight.

6 May  East to Torquay Marina, our home for the next two months.

27 May With full complement of sails now rigged, our first test sailing trip out of Tor Bay to Hope’s Nose for lunch.

1 June Another short trial sail, from Torquay to Oddicombe Bay and back.

4 July Departed Torquay, bound for Salcombe. Moored at Salcombe overnight.

5 July Salcombe to Plymouth Yacht Haven.

14 July Plymouth to Fowey.

17 July Fowey to Falmouth.

21 July Falmouth to Penzance.

22 July Penzance to New Grimsby Sound, Isles of Scilly

24-25 July Isles of Scilly to Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland

27 July Kinsale to Union Hall

29 July Union Hall to Tralong Bay to Glandore

2 August Glandore to Castletownshend

3 August Castletownshend to Baltimore

13 August Baltimore to Crookhaven

14 August Crookhaven to Lawrence Cove, Bere Island
